My Inspiration

From the serene colours of Scottish landscapes to the intricate textures found in the natural world, each piece I create is shaped by these inspirations. The ever-changing blues of stormy seas, the deep purples of wild heather, the soft greens of moss-covered hills, and the wide, sweeping moors all find their way into my palette.
The dramatic seascapes of Scotland’s west coast and the quiet, rugged beauty of the Highlands influence not only the colours but also the textures and overall feel of my work. I aim to bring that same sense of serenity and wild beauty into your everyday life, whether through a humble mug that feels like it transports you to a windswept beach in Ardnamurchan, or a decorative bowl or vase that captures the still gravity of a Munro in Glencoe.
I want my work to bring a moment of reflection into people’s homes and daily routines, a quiet invitation to pause and connect with the natural beauty that surrounds us. After all, clay comes from the earth, and in a way, my work is a thank you, a way of honouring and reflecting its beauty.
